Registration deadline quickly approaching
DERRY TWP. – Rep. Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin) today announced that there is still space available for veterans and U.S. military personnel residing in the 106th Legislative District to attend his Thursday, Nov. 8 Veterans Breakfast.

The breakfast will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lower Swatara Volunteer Fire Department, located at 1350 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown.

The event will feature a hot breakfast, as well as remarks by Mehaffie and other speakers. Each veteran in attendance will receive a commemorative pin.
“Our veterans have shown selfless service and dedication to protect and defend America’s freedom and independence,” Mehaffie said. “Taking the opportunity to show our gratitude to them is a special privilege for me and for our community.”

Seating for the event is limited and registration is required. To register, veterans must contact Mehaffie’s district office at 717-524-1323, no later than Monday, Oct. 29. Veterans requiring assistance due to a disability are permitted to bring a guest.
Originally open only to veterans residing in care facilities, the Nov. 8 breakfast was opened to all veterans after his second Veterans Breakfast (Nov. 9) reached full capacity.
