Mehaffie, House Majority Policy Committee to Explore Topic of Nursing Shortages

WHAT: Rep. Tom Mehaffie will host the House Majority Policy Committee led by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) for a hearing on the workforce crisis in the nursing industry. Information will be presented about nurse staffing standards, the impacts of nurse shortages on patient care and the struggles involved with maintaining a skilled workforce.

Grant Awarded to Improve Traffic Flow in Derry Township, Mehaffie, DiSanto Say

HARRISBURG – A $750,000 grant awarded today by the Commonwealth Financing Authority will be used to create a left-turn lane on Fishburn Road, relocate its intersection with Sand Hill Road and add a traffic signal, according to Rep. Tom Mehaffie (R-Dauphin) and Sen. John DiSanto (R-Dauphin/Perry).
